What Our Services Are Called — Depending Who You Ask

Our services go by many names. Contact Intelligence is what others call lead generation, prospect research, or B2B contact data. Business Research is often called company intelligence, account research, or target account profiling. Sales Intelligence covers what others call opportunity identification or account expansion research.

Whatever you call it — if you need fresh, verified B2B contacts at companies you want to reach, we research and deliver them.

Persons of Interest

Here's an example of what you will receive:

Example Report

For each company researched, we identify up to a maximum of three of the most suitable or most likely individuals for an initial business approach, based on the information available during our research. We focus on quality over quantity, rather than providing long, unfiltered contact lists.

As businesses regularly change personnel, responsibilities and organisational structures, we cannot guarantee that every identified individual remains the correct decision-maker after delivery.

Important

Telephone numbers, mobile numbers, email addresses, LinkedIn profiles and contact names are all subject to change by the organisation concerned and therefore cannot be guaranteed to remain current after our research has been completed.

What We Promise

  • Professional, honest and thorough research.
  • The highest quality business intelligence reasonably available from public sources.
  • Accurate reporting to the best of our knowledge.
  • Ethical research carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

What We Cannot Promise

  • That every contact will respond.
  • That every contact remains employed by the organisation.
  • That every email address or telephone number is still active.
  • That every identified contact has final purchasing authority.
  • Sales, meetings, contracts or commercial success.

Our role is to identify the most relevant contacts.

Your team builds the relationship and closes the opportunity.

See More Than Just the Contact

An Additional Layer of Intelligence

Finding the right decision-maker is useful. Understanding what is happening inside the business can be even more valuable. Our Business Intelligence service adds an extra layer of research to help you understand the commercial position of a company before your team makes contact.

We review publicly available business information to identify financial trends, ownership changes, company growth, restructuring and other indicators that may help explain where a business is heading.

What We Research

Depending on the information publicly available, our research can include:

  • Multi-year financial trends
  • Turnover and revenue movements
  • Profit or loss trends
  • Cash position
  • Net assets
  • Creditor and debt movements
  • Employee numbers
  • Director appointments and resignations
  • Ownership and PSC changes
  • Share allotments and investment
  • Acquisitions and restructuring
  • Recruitment and expansion
  • CCJ and adverse business indicators

Percentage Trend Analysis

Where sufficient financial information is available, we calculate percentage movements over several years. This helps show whether the company appears to be growing, stable, contracting, investing, restructuring or experiencing commercial pressure.

But figures are never viewed in isolation. A fall in profit does not automatically mean a company is performing badly — it may be investing in new staff, premises, equipment, acquisitions or expansion. That is why we investigate the wider company picture before drawing conclusions.

Business Opportunity Indicator

For deeper research, we can provide a simple Business Opportunity Indicator — XX/100. This is not a prediction that a company will buy from you. It is a research-based indicator designed to show how commercially interesting that company may be as a potential prospect.

The assessment can consider business size, sales structure, financial direction, growth or contraction, recruitment activity, director and ownership changes, investment, acquisitions, commercial pressure, ability to purchase external services, and accessibility of relevant decision-makers.

Business Intelligence is available as an additional research service alongside our standard Contact Intelligence work.

Customer Feedback, Testimonials – Results

“We were apprehensive when we first reached out to Reading CRM Intelligence, but after a quick call our fears were laid to rest — it was really straightforward. We explained what we wanted, and they came back with a sensible plan for moving forward.

After a few days we received our information. We reconnected with an old customer whose buyer had retired — our sales team connected with the new buyer and hit it off right away. As a result, we more than covered the cost of using the service. We'll definitely be using Reading CRM again.

And we haven't even contacted everyone on the list yet, so there could be even more success to come.”

“I have known Daren for years, so I gave him a small job to get the ball rolling. Our sales team has connected and reconnected with many companies within our remit, and we've been quoting and talking to many new people. I'm positive it was the right decision, and I've recommended their services to a few industry colleagues of mine. I wish him well with his endeavour.”

“We contacted Reading CRM Intelligence after seeing a LinkedIn post. I had a look at the website and emailed an enquiry, and received a call back. We discussed what I wanted, and they basically answered all my questions before I even had to ask them. I was very confident and placed an order within ten minutes — then we spent the next hour chatting about the world. Funny guy. As a result, we've expanded our contacts and found many new companies we didn't even know existed. We're building the relationships, and I'm in no doubt something will come from the conversations my team has been having.”

“We're really happy with the results so far. It's saved my team hours of work and contained additional information we never thought to add. What we received was usable straight away — some data confirmed we already had up-to-date details, and the rest showed us just how much information we'd been missing. As a result, we've been given new ideas, and we'll be expanding the categories in our CRM system and making better use of all available contact information going forward. We'll be back in six months to see what's changed that our team missed.”
